Portuguese accents and the Euro sign

Portuguese accents can be generated in many applications using the ASCII code.

All you have to do when you need one is this:

• first put on the NUM LOCK key
• then hold down the Alt key and at the same time type on the numeric keypad the code for your accented letter, indicated in the table below
• lift the Alt key and carry on typing normally.

Now, just try typing this (remember to press the Alt key while you are typing the numbers in italics):
At130 133 pr162xima!
Did it work?
As you have noticed there aren't that many accents in Portuguese and they can be easily mastered. I've got them on a card strategically stuck on my monitor.
